Long invigorating walk today taking in a leisurely stroll around Fortress Boyen, which was built by between 1844-1856, for those of a historical persuasion. Mud free thanks to a chilly start to the day which was much appreciated. Later the walk encompassed a meandering stroll through the town and down to the ice-free lake, which was truly beautiful with the spring sunshine, no sorry I mean winter sunshine glinting of its surface. The final stop on the route was a visit to the inevitable Biedronka!
