Love the supermarket early on a Sunday morning. The bleary eyed seeking sustenance to make good the depravities of Saturday night.
Clutching a few essentials I venture to the till to pay. The game is afoot! Food packed hurriedly away. The checkout lady asks for a princely sum. I proffer a note. She looks aghast. ''Have you nothing smaller, no small chang?'' Shame facedly i say no.
She seeks change from the ladies on the next tills. No one is able to help her. What shall we do? Tragedy!
Then she opens the til. A till bursting with notes of small denominations and a huge stock of tiny coins.
The same farce will happen nexy time, the cabaret at the till.
